![]() But all vechical manufacturers make much higher profits on SUV's then they did on cars. Overall it's an okay car but I feel the price is high compared to what you should have. Chevy gives you a can of fix a flat and a small cheap compressor, if you blow out a tire hope you have good shoes cause your walking. The exterior lighting is great for night driving and does not seem to blind drivers coming the other way. This makes turning somewhat tricky in snow. Handling is good however the all wheel drive tends to push more than pull. The 1.5 turbo is underpowered for vechical of this size and is more suited to the Cruze. My 6 cyndier Impala got the same milage as the Equinox. The gas mileage improvement I was hoping for has not happen. Panels do not have a wood grain and are just plastic. The interior is well laid out however it is are very basic, equal to a Chevy Cruze. I came out of a Chevy Impala and traded into a 2019 equinox 1.5 turbo. Shame on GM for such a poorly thought out feature that is very dangerous and a long term maintainence nightmare! Because of my professional experience I know for a fact that this feature can be turned off at the ECM level with the proper computer but the Chevy service depts will not do it. With the Equinox LT trim package there is NO way to bypass or turn this feature off. Having your vehicle shut down every time it comes to a stop is outrageously annoying! If the salesman had explained this feature, I would have left the lot and gone somewhere else. I would never recommend this model to anyone. It happens at 4 way stops, drive thru lines and anytime you have to stop rolling! RIDICULOUS! I have less than 1500 miles on it in 3 months because I drive my 2002 S-10 because it dosent shut off at every traffic light! As soon as I can I will be selling the Equinox! It shuts down ever time you stop and hold the brake for a few seconds. I am scared to drive this vehicle in traffic! I feel like a sitting duck with a car that's not running at a traffic light. ![]() The safety and reliability of this vehicle are in serious doubt in my mind. This is the dumbest, worst thought out way to save a negligible amount of fuel. No matter if you need a conventional or synthetic oil filter, make sure it’s installed correctly with each oil and filter change.I wasn't aware of the Auto Stop feature until after several hours of owning this vehicle. This can lead to overheating and other serious problems with your engine. When this happens, the biggest concern is the filter will be unable to properly trap dirt and other particles. If the filter hasn’t been changed at the recommended intervals, it will become saturated with dirt and old oil. The other common problem with oil filters is clogging. Eventually, your engine will lose oil pressure, causing excessive internal friction and threatening significant engine damage. If any of these issues are left uncorrected, the leak will worsen. The previous filter gasket is stuck to the engine when you install the new one, leading to “double gasket” danger The new filter gasket isn’t seated properly The filter is installed too loose or is cross threaded Trouble with new oil filters doesn’t occur often, but there are a few things that can cause oil to leak from the filter: Air Brake Compressor Air Strainer Filter.Automatic Transmission Vacuum Modulator.
